Review: "Bellwether," by Connie Willis

Hetty Crane

Updated: Apr 28, 2020

Connie Willis can be as brilliantly funny as she is insightful about contemporary culture and the complex interactions of human existence. This wonderful story had me giggling even as I marvelled at the cleverness of the plot, it's theoretical underpinning of group dynamics coupled with the butterfly effect, and the oh so accurate portraits of people we daily interact with. I love all of Ms. Willis' work, but this book is undeniably my favourite, simply for the quirkiness and humour she excels at.
